Bancassurance, for the provision of insurance services, processes the personal data of its clients, in accordance with the relevant legal provisions.

If you intend to contract services offered by Bancassurance Insurance, this privacy notice is relevant to you accordingly.

The purpose of this notice is to strengthen the trust of our clients in the fact that Bancassurance Insurance has established high and up-to-date standards regarding the respect for the privacy of its clients.

Collection of personal data takes place through the provision of data by clients directly in the company's offices or through intermediaries, via email, through the call center, and by mail.

Categories of personal data that may be processed by Bancassurance in the provision of insurance services include: name, surname, patronymic of clients and family members (where applicable), gender, date and place of birth, signature, data from civil status documents, vehicle registration certificate data, phone number, email, biometric or anthropometric data, profession, workplace, position, banking data, citizenship, data from driving licenses, administrative sanctions, address (domicile/residence), personal identification number, data on owned goods, medical certificate data, health status data.

 

Bancassurance uses, collects, and processes your personal data for the following purposes:

  • Provision of insurance and reinsurance services;

  • To calculate the premiums for the ordered insurance;

  • Billing for the ordered insurance policies;

  • Delivery of the ordered insurance policies;

  • To provide benefits to loyal clients and to continually improve the quality of services and products offered;

  • Internal or cross-border reporting where applicable;

  • Resolving complaints and requests from clients;

  • Client identification, screening of subjects subject to international sanctions, and detection and prevention of potential frauds;

 

Legal grounds for processing personal data may be:

  • The express consent of the client, including for obtaining offers, concluding an insurance contract/policy;

  • The fulfillment of legal obligations by Bancassurance (e.g., in the case of mandatory civil liability insurance or measures to prevent and combat money laundering (the "Know Your Customer" rules));

  • Performing the preliminary steps and checks requested by the client prior to the conclusion of the insurance contract (e.g., accessing the RCA Data platform, screening subjects subject to international sanctions, etc.)

 

Consequences of refusal to provide or withdrawal of personal data

We need the personal data listed in order to fulfill the legal obligations as an insurance intermediary, as well as to provide you with the contracted services. If you do not provide the requested personal data, or if you withdraw your consent, we will not be able to fully or partially provide you with the services you requested.

 

Data storage.

Bancassurance, as a personal data operator, has taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to ensure the protection of its clients' data against accidental or unlawful destruction, accidental loss, alteration, unauthorized access, or disclosure.

The personal data provided to the Operator will be processed for at least the duration of the insurance contract's validity, and subsequently for the time necessary to fulfill the contractual obligations by either party. Personal data will be stored as long as necessary for the purposes mentioned above or for the period stipulated by relevant legal provisions.

In accordance with the provisions of Articles 12 - 18 of Law no. 133 of 08.07.2011, the data subject has the right to be informed, to access, and to oppose the processing of their personal data.

 

The rights to access, intervention, and opposition to the processing of personal data can be exercised by sending a written request to the headquarters of Bancassurance Group SRL.
